Yes please! We work on a one to one basis with all of our brides to provide the absolute best level of service so booking your appointment in advance is necessary. You can book your appointment here. Already looking forward to meeting you!

What happens during my appointment?

Before your appointment we will have had our Pre Appointment Call with you so that you can meet your stylist that will be with you during your appointment, and to chat about your likes, dislikes, what you have in mind etc. This then allows us to focus all your time on the dresses when you arrive for your appointment.

During the 1.5 hour appointment we will listen to your likes and dislikes as you try on dresses and from there we can use our experience to help you try on what best suits those likes and dislikes.  From listening to you we will help narrow down the dresses until we find the one that you absolutely love! Trying dresses and admiring dresses is thirsty work so you and your guests are welcome to whet your whistle with our complimentary prosecco or tea or coffee. Most of the time brides will find their dress with us on their first visit but brides are always welcome to come back for a repeat appointment to retry the favourite before making the decision. When you do find your dress, well it’s time to celebrate!!!!

Is there a charge for an appointment?

There is a €25 charge for appointments. Our bridal appointments are one to one with one of our trained stylists. More often than not you will have the entire shop to yourself for your appointment. Each appointment is 1.5 hours long and for that time you are our sole focus. Our intention for each bride is to help them find a dress that makes them feel amazing, like their best selves and to have fun along the way!  You and your guests will be treated to prosecco and light refreshments during your appointment. Appointments can be cancelled with a refund with up to 72hours notice via email to hello@lilacrose.ie. 


When should I start shopping for my dress?

Ideally 12-18 months before your wedding. Most importantly however is to be open to the idea that you will probably find your dress and are therefore ready to order your dress. We are not in the business of pushy sales!! The only reason we say be prepared to order your dress is because often designers will discontinue dresses with little notice, leaving your dress no longer available to order. We want to avoid disappointment as much as possible! So that’s why we always say when you find it, go for it! 

Trying on dresses without being open to the idea of finding the dress can end up leading to confusion and take away from what should be an exciting process. We understand that sometimes brides may be a little tighter on time. No problem! We have great relationships with our designers and in certain circumstances we can arrange for a rush order or occasionally we sell our sample dresses directly to the bride meaning the dress is available right away!

Who should I bring to my appointment?

You are more than welcome to bring 2-4 guests with you, 2 ideally and 4 at a maximum. The most important thing to consider is that finding your dress can happen when you least expect it to and it is a moment and feeling that is hard to replicate again. For that reason we always recommend bringing the people you want to have there when you choose your dress. Bring people who are going to be productive in their feedback and who know your style. If it is not possible for one of those persons mentioned to be there please let us know as there is no problem at all to have them there virtually via video call so they can be a part of the entire experience just as you wanted. Please if you can avoid bringing children between ages 2-9. We are mamas ourselves and know that stray pin and clamps can be dangerous and sitting still for an hour is never much fun for smallies. We want this appointment to be as enjoyable as possible for you.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

We suggest bringing nude or white underwear (nothing dark or with a print!) including a strapless bra and a pair of highrise seamless underwear, and something to tie your hair up with. If you have an idea of how you want to wear your hair on your wedding it is always a good idea to have it this way for your appointment. If you don't already know we are all for bodies, all different shapes and sizes of bodies and would ever advocate that you should feel compelled to bring shapewear. You are absolutely more than welcome to though. As much as we are about bodies, we are also about doing whatever makes you feel your best! The underwear we do suggest is one that comes above the belly button and to just under the last rib cage. This is because sometimes fitted dresses can be a little clingy and highlight the dip of the belly button. 

How will I know if I've found 'the dress'?

Romcoms have a lot to answer for when it comes to this question!! There may be tears, there may not be tears but one thing is for sure is that there will be a feeling. The feeling may not be one filled with emotion, and it really is different for everyone. Don't think that because you and your guests are not reaching for the tissues that you haven't struck gold. The feeling might be that you feel amazing, you feel like the dress is a true reflection of your personality or you are just feelin' pretty fine in this dress!! It can be as simple as that!

What happens when I have found my dress?

Well first we celebrate! There is nothing more we love than when we have helped a bride find her dress and she feels absolutely amazing. That is cause for celebration! Once, we've settled ourselves we get down to the nitty gritty by taking your measurements, completing your order form and setting up your 50% deposit. Please don't let not having the full deposit on the day come between you and your moment. Let us know and we can set up a payment plan for you. Easy! The next time we see you then is usually anywhere from 1-3 months before your wedding when you are coming to pick up your dress. This is when we arrange for balance payment. From pick up you will go to have your alterations to have the dress fitted perfectly to your body. We have a list of reputable seamstresses around the country. We are always here at the end of the phone if you every need us or have a question between the time or ordering and pick up or beyond that. Once a Lilac Rose bride, always a Lilac Rose bride. 

How much are your dresses?

Our dresses range in price from €1300-2500 with most dresses being around €1700-1900. We do sometimes sell our samples off the rail at reduced prices also. We always encourage our brides to let us know what they are most comfortable with price wise as it helps us hugely when knowing what will work best.

What sizes are your dresses?

Our sample dresses range in sizes 8-26. The average size sample is a UK12 / 14. Don't worry however if you want to try a dress that is not in the shop in your exact size. We have LOADS of ways to show you how the dress will look when it is fitted to your body. Once you have chosen your dress then almost all our dresses can be ordered in sizes 4-32.
