Preparing For Your Appointment
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, appointments are necessary for bridal and accessories shopping. To make an appointment go to our ‘Contact’ page, email us at email@example.com or call us on 061 419 338.
When should I order my wedding dress?
7-8 months in advance of your wedding to allow for shipping, alterations and accessorising. We understand that sometimes this amount of time may not always be available to a bride. Therefore in certain circumstances we can arrange for a rush order or occasionally we have a number of sample dresses that can be purchased directly from the store.
What should I bring to my appointment?
We suggest bringing nude or white underwear including a strapless bra, a slip (to help smooth out those VPLs!) and a pair of magic Spanx if desired or seamless underwear. While we have our beautiful Rachel Simpson shoes in the store, if you feel you may want to wear an extra high heel please feel free to bring along a pair. While the above is not absolutely necessary, these few things will undoubtedly help give a better idea of what the overall look will be.
Can I wear makeup/false tan?
Brides should avoid wearing makeup/false tan for their appointment to ensure that the dresses are kept clean for your fellow brides-to-be.
Who should I bring with me?
Brides are welcome to bring a maximum of 2 adult guests with them for their appointment. We have found that our brides prefer to bring 2 people whose advice and opinions they trust and who know their style well. Unfortunately by the very nature of the store it is filled with pins, small beads and sometimes other brides who are on the quest for their perfect dress in a relaxed atmosphere and therefore we cannot allow children under the age of 10 years in the store. We hope you understand.
What about alterations?
Your dress will be ordered in a standard size i.e. 8/ 10/ 12 etc. Minimal alterations are often necessary. We suggest local dressmaker, Elena to carry out any necessary alterations.
